Dear Content and Media Strategy students,

Welcome to NHL Stenden and thank you for choosing the Master Content and Media Strategy (MCMS)! We are excited to meet you after Summer. We hope that you will enjoy this next educational journey and we will be here to support you every step of the way.

Are you curious about the city, the campus and your fellow students yet? Then we have good news for you. During a two-day program on August 24 and 25 specifically designed for all new MCMS students, we will offer several activities that allow you to familiarize yourself with the environment and community you will call your home in the time to come. Furthermore, you get to participate in a first content creation challenge.

Participating in this Study Start Week is free of charge and is highly recommended, but not mandatory. It is necessary to register for the activities. Please register no later than August 14 via this form: https://forms.gle/TPf3bCEqo4xbg1ASA .

Wednesday August 24

10.00 – 10.30	Registration	Students will be welcomed outside by SSW guides. In the MCMS room, you will be assigned to groups and will receive a participation token.	NHL Stenden square + Z-1.78 (Rengerslaan 8, first floor)
10.30 – 11.30	Introduction and getting acquainted	After a welcoming introduction by MCMS teachers, we play some games to get to know each other.	Z-1.78 (Rengerslaan 8, first floor)
11.45 – 13.00	Campus tour	Get to know your new campus by following the tour!	–
13.00 – 14.30	Boat tour + lunch	You will explore the city from the water on a traditional “praam”. During the boat toar, we will have (self-brought) lunch.	Starting point: Dokkumer Ee near NHL Stenden End point: city center
15.00 – 17.00	Content creation competition	Explore Leeuwarden, find the city’s hotspots, and compete against each other by creating original content for one of these hotspots (in groups).	Leeuwarden city center

21:00 – …	SSW party	Toast to starting your new study and dance the night away at the SSW party with live DJ! The main costs of the activities will be covered by the academy. Additional consumptions are at your own expense. Please note that you are asked to bring your own lunch on Wednesday, August 24.
